we are two friends - one in san francisco, ca, the other in boston, ma. one person comes up with a word or title. we go forth and photograph with identical cameras and sometimes eerily identical brains. we post our interpretations side by side:
annu on the left (west coast) and
caitlin on the right (east coast).

so it turns out my grandmother and grandfather bought that tiny metal ship figurine on one of their trips to portugal. they wondered what to do with their last few portugese coins and my grandfather saw that beautiful piece!
